Otoe County Museums of Memories

The Otoe County Museum of Memories is open for the season; their hours are Sunday 1:30 to 4 p.m. This season their temporary exhibits will include spring clothing, men’s sports jackets, and a World War I displays to commemorate the 100th anniversary of America entering World War I.


August 12th

Nebraska City Historical Society - Sweet Summer Afternoon

The Nebraska City Historical Society will be holding its annual “Sweet Summer Afternoon” Saturday, August 12, from 1:00 – 3:00 at the Nelson House, 711 3rd Corso, in Nebraska City.


August 13th

Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Center - Living History Corps

The Lewis & Clark Living History Corps will present demonstrations on Sunday, August 13th, from 10:00 – 4:00. Demonstrations will be held on the second Sunday of the month through October.


August 17th

Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Center - Business After Hours

The Lewis & Clark Center will hold a business after hours on Thursday, August 17. The 5:30 – 7:00 event commemorates the birthdays of Captains Lewis and Clark. At 6:00, Eugene Lanning will give a preview of what to expect of the full eclipse on August 21.


August 19th

Kregel Windmill Factory Museum - Founder's Day Celebration & Silent Auction

The Kregel Windmill Factory Museum will hold it Founder's Day Celebration on Saturday August 19th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. A silent auction, special exhibits, and refreshments are planned during the event. A list of all items on offer for the silent auction is available either on the museum's website or in the front lobby of the museum. Bidding for the silent auction is currently open at www.kregelwindmillfactorymuseum.org/event/silent-auction/ and will end at 5:00pm on August 19th.

Wildwood Historic Center - Featured Artist

The Wildwood Historic Center’s next featured artist will be Vonni Sparks with acrylic painting; the show runs until August 24th.
