Join the Missouri River Basin Lewis & Clark Center for Brownbagging with the Birds, every Friday from 11am to 1pm beginning January 5th through February 23rd. Bring your sack lunch and watch wild birds through our picture windows. Visit with fellow bird watchers as we identify the different types of birds. We typically record sightings of 12 to 15 different species in just one hour!

Come join us for evening with Frederick Douglass. The Mayhew Cabin and Peru State College organizations: Black Student Union, Phi Alpha Theta, and Peru Theater Company are co-sponsoring a Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commemoration Program on Thursday, February 1st, at 5:30 p.m. The program includes a Frederick Douglass impersonator and dramatic readings of Douglass' speeches by Peru State College students. The program will take place at the Recital Hall-Jindra Fine Arts Building on the Peru State College campus. Please call 402-873-3115 or email for more information.

It's that time of year again! It's time for the Super Bowl! The Nebraska City Museum of Firefighting is hosting their annual Super Bowl Soup Luncheon on Sunday February 4th from 11am to 2pm at the Nebraska City Fire Station. The luncheon is free will donation and all proceeds from this event benefit the Nebraska City Museum of Firefighting.
